Blåt Lys - en balinstallation is a different kind of concert experience, where the music’s electroacoustic universe and Sylfide’s crystal-clear vocals unite Nordic folk traditions with modern songwriting, incorporating elements from the world of pop. The melodies draw threads from old dance tunes and are elegantly layered with synthesizers, strings, the real sounds of dancing feet, and enchanting harp tones.
The lyrics also draw on our shared cultural heritage, exploring themes such as climate grief, femininity, and psychological vulnerability — all rooted in the past while looking toward the future.
Produced by Sylfide with support from TEMPI, Aarhus Municipality and William Demant Fond.
